Had the best afternoon at the Deer centre. Staff were very friendly and the Bird of Prey team were very knowledgeable and professional and a joy to talk to and listen too. Highly recommend a visit to everyone.

What an amazing day out in the Scottish Deer Centre. More so for a family as so much for kids to do, keep them amused and keep them active

Fabulous place for a day out! There's lots for the kids to do. A small indoor soft play, zip line, slide, ride on tractors, static vehicles to climb on, a train to ride on (£2.50 per person), big pillow trampoline, two parks, birds of prey show and lots of animals to see! Currently doing pay as you please.

This place is so good! I went there in January (very muddy) and tickets were expensive, but worth it, especially if you are young. There are electric go-carts, climbing frames, parks, bouncy bubbles and more. It’s a great experience for nature lovers and people that want to get out. The staff in the shops are very kind, and it’s nice a warm. Be careful - if you don’t like parking on grass, be careful.

Visited a few times for the Christmas event. In my opinion the Christmas event could use a bit of a redesign. Felt like it was designed and built in a hurry. Which is a shame as we absolutely loved it a few years ago with Santa on the double decker. Nonetheless, the park is fantastic. Every time we visit there is something new to see. The cafe is fantastic, the loaded chips are genuinely one of the best I’ve ever eaten. Cakes are equally as tasty. Staff were upfront about the wait times before we ordered which was really appreciated (it was lunchtime so understandable). Currently doing a “pay what you can” which is a great idea. The shop could do with a bit of a revamp as it does feel a bit outdated, but that’s personal opinion really. Indoor softplay for kids when the weather is poor. Loads of deer to see and feed, including a huge moose (but please don’t feed him). Recently added a model railway around the buccaneer and they’re also building dinosaur related play things.

By far, my favourite family day out location. It is small enough that the little ones can walk around the whole park without any problems but has so much to see and do. I especially love hand feeding the deer and the falconry displays. I am here several times a year and that's not going to change any time soon. The perfect affordable family day out!

We've been to the Deer Centre many times, a wonderful experience and great to get up close with the animals . This was our first time at Santa's Grotto (tickets are very hard to get and I know why), it was amazing. 10/10 experience for the little ones. The thought and execution was great. Best Santa outing we've ever had. Thanks Deer Centre, we'll be back soon.

Ideal place to take the kids, just wrap up warm in the winter months! Fantastic outdoor adventure, the kids absolutely love being able to feed the Animals as well as having all the equipment to play on. There's so much to do here that you'll easily spend the whole day. I love that as you leave the entrance you've got the small indoor softplay, then you have the outdoor play area in the old barn, it looked like it had been turned into an Arcade on our last visit though, adjacent to this is an indoor flying fox and big slide. When you exit you walk out to an old bus, the outdoor play areas and the path leading to the animals. Once you've passed through that you then find yourself at the amazing tree rop walk up, it's just amazing. Once you come down there's the bears, a nice little walk passed various animals and this leads to another outdoor play park again the kids love it. Plenty to do even at this point to keep them happy. Once you leave this area you'll find the huge outdoor sandpit, sadly closed on our last visit, but parallel to this is the miniature gauge train, which does a small loop but looks fun. After that there are the old tractors, fire engine and I think it's an Avro Vulcan too! By this point you're probably ready to go home and the little ones are shattered so the exit is not far in front of you. And it's, see you next time Scottish Deer centre! Brilliant place good fun loads to do, have a picnic, play and enjoy life.

Have visited lots over the years however definitely feels like since pay as you please has been implemented it is busier more often (I often pass a very busy car park which hasn't always been the case). My only small gripe was having to "pay" as we entered, not what I was expecting. And the food options for those who don't take a picnic from the "food vendors" is lacking and very overpriced. However, a great day out for the kids.

We visited during refurbishing so limited things to see and do (as expected) but was able to feed the deers so that was awesome... food and service in the cafe was also great... thank you!

Highly recommend. Highly knowledgeable keepers/staff all very kind and smiley. Very affordable on the pay what you want scheme however would recommend paying that little more if you can. Hygiene stations situated throughout the park for biosecurity & deer feed available to buy. Great for anyone interested in conservation, climate action & wildlife protection!

Beautiful experience. Many species of deer can be fed with food distributed at the entrance for a few pennies. Every day at 1pm there is a free flight demonstration of different types of birds. In my opinion the place could be better maintained, and the ticket price is slightly higher than it should be, but overall I was more than happy to visit it.

Pay on arrival, and it is very interesting walking around the various safe and cared for animals and its donations only. It was an excellent day visiting them and we will be back.
